Woodcock-Muñoz Foundation Mission Statement

The Woodcock-Muñoz Foundation (WMF) is a private, nonprofit operating foundation that supports the advancement of contemporary cognitive assessment. The WMF engages in programs of instructional support to professional preparation programs, research concerning the abilities of individuals with diagnosed exceptionalities, and closely related educational and research projects and applications.

At the WMF, we promote contemporary practices in the assessment of neurocognitive abilities internationally, through a variety of programs that provide mentoring and financial support for:

  •  research into the neurocognitive characteristics of individuals with diagnosed exceptionalities (learning disabilities, neuropsychological conditions, behavioral and psychiatric disorders, and giftedness),
  •  development and advancement of effective, new clinical assessment practices, and
  •  the dissemination of research findings.
