- The Woodcock-Muñoz Foundation and Drs. Richard W. Woodcock and Lynne Jaffe were awarded the 2011 Zickel Award by the American Printing House for the Blind (APH). The Zickel Award recognizes those creative and caring individuals whose ideas result in the development and innovative products designed to improve the quality of life for people who are blind and visually impaired.

- The WMF Press has announced the publication of the Woodcock-Johnson International Edition II.
- Dr. Richard W. Woodcock has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Texas Statewide Evaluation Project (SWEP) Conference.
- The WMF Human Cognitive Abilities (HCA) archive project was updated recently with the addition of 22 data sets; the WMF HCA project is based on the research of noted psychology theorist John B. Carroll.

- The WMF Cuba Outreach Project: The WMF has begun a collaborative effort with a group of psychologists and assessment professionals in Cuba. The project is expected to develop in phases; Phase I occurred in August, 2009.
