WJ III NU Compuscore and Profiles Program (Australian Adaptation)

The WJ III® NU Compuscore® and Profiles Program (Australian Adaptation) [WJ III NU (AA)] is an adaptation of the Woodcock-Johnson® III Normative Update (WJ III NU) Compuscore and Profiles Program, version 3.1. The WJ III NU (AA) provides scores for the Woodcock-Johnson III that have been adjusted (from the U.S. norms) to reflect the comparison with students within Australia. In addition to the adapted scores, the WJ III NU (AA) provides closer adherence to Australian spelling conventions.

Normative adjustments are based on data from a large, nationally representative sample conducted within Australia. The total sample of 1397 school-aged children was randomly selected from every state and territory in Australia. It also reflects the ratio of government to private schools, city and country locations, and parent education.

Note: Before installing the WJ III NU Compuscore and Profiles Program (Australian Adaptation), you must have Version 2.1 or later of the WJIII Compuscore and Profiles Program (WJ III NU) or the Woodcock Interpretation and Instructional Intervention Program™ (WIIIP™) installed on your computer. To download and install the WJ III NU (AA) v1.0.2 update (posted August 10, 2011), complete the following steps. For convenience, please print these instructions before proceeding.

  • Note: If you are using Microsoft® Windows XP or Windows Vista®, you must log on to Windows as an administrator or as a user with administrator privileges before proceeding with the installation.
  • Download the WJ III NU (AA) by clicking the download button below. Save the file to a local drive on your computer.

  • When the download is complete, quit all Windows programs that are currently runnning; then locate the saved WJIIINU(AA)inst_v102.exe file and double-click it to initiate the installation.
  • When the Open File dialog box appears, click Run.

    If you have installed the WIIIP or WJ III NU program in a nonstandard location, you will be asked to locate it during installation of the WJ III NU (AA).
  • When the installation wizard starts, click Next to proceed with the installation. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • When installation is complete, save the WJIIINU(AA)inst_v102.exe installer file on a CD-ROM disc and store it in a safe place.
